Can you tell us about what kind of work you’re doing now?

As a factory manager, I conduct various operations such as client meetings, factory tours, regular meetings with division managers, as well as approve improvement ideas and proposals from other staff. Once a week I also make a report card for experiments within the entire plant and maintenance inspections within the plant as well.

Is there something you are particular about at work? Also, are there things you are striving to do?

As a factory manager, the thing I place above all else is the concept of “safety first”. People’s safety, the safety of the plant, as well as the safety and security of product quality, attention to the environment and other areas all get my full attention.

■ Four “Safety First” Areas
People: We thoroughly conduct basic safety management with respect to chemical substances such as by wearing masks and gloves.
Plants: We thoroughly conduct safety management that works to prevent accidents before they happen based on past experience.
Products: We conduct thorough quality checks to make sure that no products fall outside standards.
Environment: We make sure emissions caused by vacuum pumps are rendered harmless.

Has there been anything in your work up to now that’s left an impression on you?

I had a great feeling of achievement when I received words of thanks from a client after I had worked with my team to solve issues for a distillation project that presented a high level of difficulty. OSAKA YUKA INDUSTRY has also been praised as the place to go for precision distillation, and there is no shortage of opportunities for us to receive distillation projects presenting a high level of difficulty that were turned down by other companies. Since there are cases where things don’t go well just using the logical calculations you’d find in textbooks, we conquer issues though team discussions on distillation methods by referring to our database and through trial and error. It’s not easy, but the feeling of achievement you get when you’ve succeed is incredible.

Please tell us about your goals and vision for the future.

I feel there is a need to deal with synthesis technologies which evolve and become more complex each year and polish my expertise even further. I think that OSAKA YUKA INDUSTRY can contribute to society by responding to societal changes.

Since we have our own research divisions, we can carry out a variety of tests. Please feel free to contact us even if you have a project that is still in the stages of consideration or for projects that were turned down by other companies.
