Can you tell us about what kind of work you’re doing now?

I carry out repairs, maintenance and inspection of vacuum pumps, distillation equipment and in-house equipment.

Is there something you are particular about at work? Also, are there things you are striving to do?

I think that it’s important in this line of work to make sure that the anything I’m performing maintenance on works just like it did when it was new; that is to say, without lowering the performance each time it’s maintained. However, from the client’s perspective it is now common sense that machinery is just supposed to work. That’s why I am always thinking about how I can create further added value for our clients, while of course also ensuring they get what they want. By aiming for perfect machinery conditions, we decrease the frequency of maintenance. I think there are lots of ways to go about this, like getting things order-made instead of going for manufacturer parts.

Has there been anything in your work up to now that’s left an impression on you?

There was that time when I was unable to achieve the goals set in place for a vacuum pump. I still remember when I succeed at finally getting it in good working order after some trial and error.

Please tell us about your goals and vision for the future.

For myself, while it goes without saying that I would like to acquire more skills and sharpen the skills I already have, I would also like to contribute to the nurturing of the next generation of engineers.
Being able to trust your gut based on accumulated experience is something that one needs when working in the area of vacuum degree adjustment. I’ve been in maintenance for 10 years and in the vacuum degree area for 20 years, so going forward I’d like to pass on what I can to the next generation.

Do you have a message for your clients?

I think that there are seldom companies which design and maintain distillation apparatuses on their own. Please rest assured that you can count on OSAKA YUKA INDUSTRY.
